Rated Good by Ofsted, Playhouse Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Fordham Park, close to New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. We’re a spacious, modern nursery, with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups.
Children can try many different activities from science experiments to traditional cooking, world music, yoga, construction, sensory play and much more! Families can join in the fun with regular workshops.
We work with the charity Box Project on our sustainability through reuse, upcycling and recycling. We also offer Musical Futures – a project brought together by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.

Hello, my name is Funmi, and I am the manager at Play House Nursery. I am passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. At Play House Nursery, we take a child-centred approach, ensuring each child receives the care and support they need to grow and develop. Our dedicated team works together to provide enriching experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster a love for learning.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
